In the mid 90’s, after many years of providing outstanding engineering services to the Oil & Gas industry, we decided to create another company to further enhance the technology and tailor our services more closely to our clients’ needs. That is how the idea was born that led eventually to forming Onyx Consulting Engineers. Although we started as a small group of experienced professionals, our track record, reputation and returning clients help us to steadily grow to today’s Onyx. We are now a full service company with five offices in strategic areas serving multiple industries.
Onyx employs a full range of Civil, Mechanical, Marine, Chemical, Structural and Electrical Engineers. Our personnel have diverse experience and past involvement in unique projects, which helps us to prepare for any new challenges that we may face. We value and depend upon repeat business, and know that our customers appreciate our innovative, yet safe business practices. Our adaptability to new ideas and determination to provide the best possible services create a unique dedicated environment that sets us apart from our competitors.
Our project approach includes the assignment of a design support team with a significant combined level of experience, which will be available to provide the service required to fully comply with the client's needs. This team works with the client through project design to client approval and acceptance to project completion.
We have successfully designed and assisted in the fabrication and installation of many cost-effective offshore platforms for our clients that are currently producing in the Gulf of Mexico. Some of these have completed their service life and have been salvaged to be re-used in other fields for even more production. We are proud of this history.
